Shopify integration
Shopify integration foundations for UK sellers
MaxInvent has Shopify connector foundations and offers limited onboarding for agreed scopes. It is not presented as an unconditional live native integration.
- Shopify onboarding
- Limited
- Shared stock ledger
- 1 pool
- Order and stock flows
- Scoped
- Primary AWS region
- London
Shopify storefront scope and wider commerce operations
Once marketplaces, B2B orders, collections, field reps or multi-warehouse dispatch are added, define which system owns operational stock and which agreed records each connector handles. MaxInvent's Shopify scope remains limited onboarding.
- Marketplace orders can update Shopify late, creating oversell windows
- B2B portal, rep app and cash-and-carry orders sit outside Shopify's native flow
- Shopify apps often solve one channel at a time, not the whole operation
- Multi-location and buffer rules become hard to reason about at volume
- Warehouse teams still need a dispatch-first view, not a storefront admin
Use Shopify as the storefront and MaxInvent as the stock master
The intended model keeps Shopify as the storefront and MaxInvent as the operational layer. Current onboarding is limited and each product, order, stock and fulfilment flow must be confirmed in scope.
- Connector foundations are implemented
- Limited onboarding is available for agreed use cases
- Variant, location and stock mapping is validated before cutover
- Order and fulfilment behaviour is confirmed in writing
- No unconditional live-native claim

The target workflow joins agreed Shopify orders to MaxInvent operations after onboarding validation.
UK-primary operations layer
Keep operational inventory and order data in AWS London with isolated customer databases and audit trails.
Built-in automation

FAQ
Frequently asked
Does MaxInvent replace Shopify?+
No. Shopify remains your storefront, theme, checkout and product-content surface. MaxInvent becomes the operational layer for stock, order routing, dispatch, B2B orders and marketplace stock decisions.
Can Shopify and marketplaces share one stock pool?+
That is the intended architecture, but Shopify is currently limited onboarding. Variant mapping, locations, stock behaviour and channel scope must be validated before cutover.
What happens to Shopify POS or retail stock?+
No unconditional Shopify POS integration is claimed. If Shopify POS matters, its location and stock-change behaviour must be assessed during discovery.
