Migration guide
Moving to MaxInvent from Brightpearl
An inventory-first alternative for UK multi-channel sellers — with transparent per-order pricing, no per-user fees, direct Temu courier integration, and migration timing scoped in discovery.
Direct Temu labels
To our knowledge, based on public vendor documentation reviewed in April 2026, MaxInvent is the UK inventory platform we found publicly documenting Temu courier label purchase from the dispatch screen, with tracking synced back to Temu automatically.
What we hear from Brightpearl customers
Why sellers consider a change
Brightpearl is a capable retail operations platform, particularly for omnichannel brands that want built-in accounting. Teams who reach out to us tend to flag the same themes — the points below reflect what we hear in discovery calls, not opinions about Brightpearl's product quality. Always verify current Brightpearl pricing and features directly with them.
Public, per-user-free pricing
MaxInvent publishes £79 / £199 / from £499 per month launch pricing with users included at every tier, so adding dispatch staff does not create a per-seat subscription increase. Brightpearl's pricing is confirmed on request — check their pricing page for current tiers.
UK-native marketplace roadmap
Temu UK, TikTok Shop UK, Groupon UK and ClearanceFood are first-party MaxInvent connectors built in-house. We prioritise UK-specific channels on the roadmap.
Fast standard onboarding
Standard MaxInvent onboarding is commonly scoped around 2-4 weeks and included for Starter and Growth. Data migration, marketplace re-auth, courier setup and Xero wiring are scoped during onboarding; complex Scale migrations are quoted upfront.
Inventory-first, not retail-ERP-first
If your pain is mostly inventory, orders and dispatch across marketplaces, MaxInvent focuses there rather than asking you to pay for ERP surface area you won't use.
UK data residency by default
MaxInvent's data lives in AWS London, in a tenant-isolated database per customer. If UK data residency is a contractual requirement for your B2B relationships, this removes a due-diligence question.
The MaxInvent approach
What's different with MaxInvent
Publicly verifiable differences from both vendors' own documentation. We've kept this to facts we can back up.
Direct Temu courier labels
To our knowledge, based on public vendor documentation reviewed in April 2026, MaxInvent is the UK inventory platform we found publicly documenting Temu courier labels directly from dispatch, with tracking pushed back to Temu automatically.
Users included, every tier
Add warehouse staff, dispatchers, managers and analysts without per-seat fees. Your cost scales with orders, not headcount.
Public, per-order pricing
£79 / £199 / from £499 per month launch pricing with a transparent 5p/order overage above allowance. Current launch pricing is public; future renewal terms should be confirmed in writing.
Weeks, not months, to go live
2–4 weeks typical. We handle the data migration, marketplace re-auth, courier account setup and Xero wiring as part of the standard onboarding.
Automation built in, not bolted on
Auto-split, auto-print, auto-enrich and auto-allocate are part of the standard MaxInvent product scope rather than being positioned as bespoke professional services.
Xero, not a separate accounting module
MaxInvent pushes invoices, bills and payments to Xero natively. No additional accounting licence required — your accountant stays in the tool they know.

The migration path
How a Brightpearl migration works
Brightpearl-to-MaxInvent is a bigger lift than a Linnworks migration because Brightpearl spans more surface area (accounting, POS, contacts). We scope it carefully up-front.
- 1
Discovery and scoping
Week 1Half-day workshop to map your Brightpearl footprint: channels, warehouses, couriers, accounting flow, B2B customers, users. We identify what comes across, what stays in Brightpearl during transition, and what retires.
- 2
Data extract and mapping
Week 1–2Products, SKUs, variants, customers, suppliers, open orders, open POs, stock levels and open invoices extracted from Brightpearl. Mapped into MaxInvent's schema with you in a review session.
- 3
Marketplace and Xero re-wiring
Week 2Marketplace OAuth re-issued to MaxInvent. Xero re-connected as MaxInvent's accounting backend. Courier accounts moved across. Brightpearl's accounting module is retired in favour of direct MaxInvent → Xero flow.
- 4
Parallel run
Week 2–37–14 days in parallel with Brightpearl, read-only on MaxInvent's side. You verify order ingestion, stock sync, dispatch and Xero posting match before any writes go live.
- 5
Go-live
Week 3–4Cut-over to MaxInvent as source of truth. Brightpearl stays in read-only for historical lookup. Cancellation timed so you're not paying for both after cut-over.
FAQ
Migration questions, answered
- How long does a migration into MaxInvent take? +
- Typically 2–4 weeks for standard multi-channel operations. More complex setups (heavy POS, deep accounting customisation, 10+ warehouses) may run 6–8 weeks. We scope this in the discovery workshop before any commitment.
- What happens to our Brightpearl accounting? +
- MaxInvent pushes invoices, bills and payments directly to Xero (or QuickBooks on the roadmap). Brightpearl's built-in accounting module is retired in favour of this flow — simpler, cheaper, and your accountant stays in the tool they already know.
- Can MaxInvent handle our POS? +
- MaxInvent doesn't include a traditional retail POS. If POS is central to your operation, we integrate with Shopify POS, Lightspeed and Vend. If POS is a minor part, our B2B portal + manual sales order entry often covers it without a separate POS licence.
- Do you charge per user like Brightpearl? +
- Every current MaxInvent tier includes users without a per-seat subscription charge — warehouse staff, dispatchers, managers and analysts. You pay for the orders you process, not the number of users, subject to your agreed subscription terms.
- Will our existing marketplace listings stay live? +
- Yes. MaxInvent connects to your existing marketplace accounts via API. eBay, Amazon, TikTok Shop and Temu listings stay live on the marketplaces — we read from and write to them, we don't re-create them.
- Are there any Brightpearl features MaxInvent doesn't cover? +
- Deep manufacturing routings, complex multi-entity accounting, and retail POS are the main gaps. If these are core to your operation, we'll tell you upfront in the discovery call — we're not trying to push a bad fit.
- Is MaxInvent affiliated with Brightpearl or Sage? +
- No. MaxInvent is an independent UK company with no affiliation, endorsement, partnership or licensing relationship with Brightpearl, Brightpearl Limited, or Sage. Brightpearl is a product of Brightpearl Limited (a Sage company). We reference Brightpearl here only for factual, non-misleading comparative purposes permitted under the UK Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008.
