Migration guide
Moving to MaxInvent from Brightpearl
An inventory-first alternative for UK multi-channel sellers with transparent per-order pricing, two conditional Temu fulfilment routes and migration timing scoped in discovery.
Temu fulfilment, your way
Buy and print an eligible Temu platform label, or use a permitted own-courier route through enabled booking or manual carrier/tracking entry. Temu controls order eligibility.
Buyer evaluation criteria
Why sellers consider a change
Use these neutral evaluation criteria to compare publicly documented Brightpearl capabilities with MaxInvent's documented scope. Verify current pricing, features and contract terms directly with each vendor.
Public, per-user-free pricing
MaxInvent publishes £99.99 / £299.99 / from £499 per month launch pricing with users included at every tier, so adding dispatch staff does not create a per-seat subscription increase. Brightpearl's pricing is confirmed on request — check their pricing page for current tiers.
UK-native marketplace roadmap
Temu UK, TikTok Shop UK, Groupon UK and ClearanceFood are first-party MaxInvent connectors built in-house. We prioritise UK-specific channels on the roadmap.
Fast standard onboarding
Standard Starter and Growth onboarding is included. Data migration, marketplace reconnection, carrier setup and Xero scope are confirmed in discovery; complex Scale or Enterprise migration is quoted separately.
Inventory-first, not retail-ERP-first
If your pain is mostly inventory, orders and dispatch across marketplaces, MaxInvent focuses there rather than asking you to pay for ERP surface area you won't use.
London primary, Ireland DR
MaxInvent's primary app, databases and uploads run in AWS London, with encrypted disaster-recovery database snapshots copied to AWS Ireland. Tenant databases are isolated.
The MaxInvent approach
What's different with MaxInvent
Publicly verifiable differences from both vendors' own documentation. We've kept this to facts we can back up.
Two Temu fulfilment routes
Eligible orders can buy and print a Temu platform label; permitted orders can instead use an enabled or manually recorded own-courier route.
Users included, every tier
Add warehouse staff, dispatchers, managers and analysts without per-seat fees. Your cost scales with orders, not headcount.
Public, per-order pricing
£99.99 / £299.99 / from £499 per month launch pricing. Current overage terms are 5p/order on Starter and Growth; Scale volume overage from 5p/order. Future renewal terms should be confirmed in writing.
Discovery-led implementation
Standard Starter and Growth onboarding is included. Complex migration, carrier configuration and data work is scoped after discovery.
Automation built in, not bolted on
Auto-split, auto-print, auto-enrich and auto-allocate are part of the standard MaxInvent product scope rather than being positioned as bespoke professional services.
Xero, not a separate accounting module
MaxInvent pushes invoices, bills and payments to Xero natively. No additional accounting licence required — your accountant stays in the tool they know.

The migration path
How a Brightpearl migration works
Brightpearl-to-MaxInvent is a bigger lift than a Linnworks migration because Brightpearl spans more surface area (accounting, POS, contacts). We scope it carefully up-front.
- 1
Discovery and scoping
DiscoveryA discovery workshop maps your Brightpearl footprint: channels, warehouses, couriers, accounting flow, B2B customers and users. The agreed output identifies what can move, what stays during transition and what retires.
- 2
Data extract and mapping
Discovery and mappingProducts, SKUs, variants, customers, suppliers, open orders, open POs, stock levels and open invoices extracted from Brightpearl. Mapped into MaxInvent's schema with you in a review session.
- 3
Marketplace and Xero re-wiring
ConfigurationReconnect only the supported marketplace, carrier and accounting workflows confirmed in discovery. MaxInvent's verified Xero scope is optional outbound GBP push for sales invoices, supplier bills and payments.
- 4
Parallel run
Parallel validationRun an agreed read-only parallel validation with Brightpearl. Verify order ingestion, stock updates, dispatch and the supported outbound Xero records before any writes go live.
- 5
Go-live
Controlled cut-overCut-over to MaxInvent as source of truth. Brightpearl stays in read-only for historical lookup. Cancellation timed so you're not paying for both after cut-over.
FAQ
Migration questions, answered
How long does a migration into MaxInvent take?+
Timing depends on data quality, channels, POS and accounting scope, warehouse structure, history requirements and acceptance testing. It is scoped after discovery rather than promised as a fixed range.
What happens to our Brightpearl accounting?+
MaxInvent offers optional outbound GBP push to Xero for sales invoices, supplier bills and payments. It does not claim native QuickBooks, two-way, multi-currency, fee-split or credit-note integration.
Can MaxInvent handle our POS?+
MaxInvent includes trade-counter POS for walk-in and account-customer sales tied to stock and sales orders. It does not claim native Shopify POS, Lightspeed or Vend integrations, or a full restaurant/high-street retail POS.
Do you charge per user like Brightpearl?+
Every current MaxInvent tier includes users without a per-seat subscription charge — warehouse staff, dispatchers, managers and analysts. You pay for the orders you process, not the number of users, subject to your agreed subscription terms.
Will our existing marketplace listings stay live?+
Yes. MaxInvent connects to your existing marketplace accounts via API. eBay, Amazon, TikTok Shop and Temu listings stay live on the marketplaces — we read from and write to them, we don't re-create them.
Are there any Brightpearl features MaxInvent doesn't cover?+
Deep manufacturing routings, complex multi-entity accounting, and retail POS are the main gaps. If these are core to your operation, we'll tell you upfront in the discovery call — we're not trying to push a bad fit.
Is MaxInvent affiliated with Brightpearl or Sage?+
No. MaxInvent is an independent UK company with no affiliation, endorsement, partnership or licensing relationship with Brightpearl, Brightpearl Limited, or Sage. Brightpearl is a product of Brightpearl Limited (a Sage company). We reference Brightpearl here only for factual, non-misleading comparative purposes permitted under the UK Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008.
