Migration guide
Moving to MaxInvent from Cin7
Cin7 (Omni and Core) is a capable global inventory platform. For UK sellers, the right fit depends on your exact marketplace mix, per-user cost, and onboarding needs. MaxInvent is UK-built with direct Temu courier labels, transparent per-order pricing, and a shorter onboarding path.
Direct Temu labels
To our knowledge, based on public vendor documentation reviewed in April 2026, MaxInvent is the UK inventory platform we found publicly documenting Temu courier label purchase from the dispatch screen, with tracking synced back to Temu automatically.
What we hear from Cin7 customers
Why UK sellers consider a change
Cin7 (Omni and Core) is a strong global platform. UK sellers who reach out to us usually cite the themes below — points we can substantiate from publicly available product documentation. Please verify Cin7's current pricing and marketplace list on their own website.
UK-first marketplace coverage
MaxInvent builds UK-specific marketplace connectors first-party — including Temu UK, Groupon UK and ClearanceFood. Check Cin7's marketplace list for their current UK coverage.
Per-order, not per-user pricing
MaxInvent charges by order volume with users included in current tiers. Add dispatchers, warehouse staff and managers without a per-seat subscription charge, subject to agreed terms. Compare against Cin7's published pricing model on their pricing page.
Direct Temu courier labels
Based on publicly available product documentation reviewed in April 2026, MaxInvent is the UK inventory platform we found that lets sellers buy Temu courier labels directly from the dispatch queue.
Fast standard onboarding
Standard MaxInvent onboarding is commonly scoped around 2-4 weeks for first live orders and included for Starter and Growth. Ask Cin7 for their current implementation timeline and onboarding scope during evaluation.
UK data residency by default
MaxInvent is designed for UK primary hosting in AWS London with per-tenant database isolation. Confirm any specific data residency requirements in your agreement.

The migration path
How a Cin7 migration works
Cin7-to-MaxInvent is a straightforward SaaS migration. Both platforms expose export APIs, and the marketplace connections re-authenticate cleanly.
- 1
Discovery call (60 minutes)
Day 0We review your Cin7 setup — Omni or Core, marketplace list, courier accounts, B2B customer base, Xero integration, team size. We scope the migration shape and what's pre-built vs needs custom work.
- 2
Data export from Cin7
Day 1–5Cin7 supports CSV and API export for products, customers, suppliers, stock levels, open orders and historic orders. We handle the data shape mapping into MaxInvent's schema.
- 3
Marketplace + courier re-connection
Day 3–8Re-authenticate each marketplace OAuth (eBay, Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, Temu) and courier account against MaxInvent. Existing listings stay live throughout.
- 4
Parallel-run + verification
Day 5–15Both systems run alongside each other in read-only mode for 7-10 days. Verify stock, open orders, dispatch behaviour, Xero sync, and B2B portal customer records all match expectations.
- 5
Cut-over + Cin7 off-boarding
Day 15–21Switch MaxInvent to authoritative mode. Test one live order per channel. Keep Cin7 in read-only mode for 30 days as a rollback safety net before cancelling.
FAQ
Migration questions, answered
- How does MaxInvent's pricing compare with Cin7 at scale? +
- MaxInvent charges per order (5p/order overage above allowance) with users included in current tiers rather than a per-seat subscription charge. Cin7 publishes its own pricing model on its website — compare the two against your actual user count and order volume to get a real total-cost picture.
- Does MaxInvent support manufacturing and assembly? +
- MaxInvent supports simple assembly (bundle SKUs, kit-to-order), multi-location stock, and purchase orders. We do not currently ship deep manufacturing routings with BOM-level costing. If full manufacturing is core to your operation, we'll say so upfront — we're not trying to shoehorn a bad fit.
- What about a B2B customer portal? +
- MaxInvent includes a full B2B portal in the Starter tier (£79/mo launch pricing): per-customer catalogues, tiered unit/layer/pallet pricing, credit terms, Xero invoice push. If you currently rely on a B2B portal in Cin7, check that the MaxInvent feature set covers your specific workflow on the discovery call.
- Will my Xero integration survive the migration? +
- Yes. MaxInvent's Xero integration covers two-way sales invoices, supplier bills, credit notes (full and partial), payouts (split into gross + marketplace fees), and multi-currency. During the parallel-run phase you'll see both systems writing to Xero so you can verify before cut-over.
- Is my historic order data preserved? +
- Yes. We import up to 24 months of historic orders by default (longer on request), so your reports, customer lifetime value calculations, and reorder-from-history features work from day one on MaxInvent.
- Is MaxInvent affiliated with Cin7? +
- No. MaxInvent is an independent UK company with no affiliation, endorsement, partnership or licensing relationship with Cin7 or Cin7 Limited. Cin7 is a registered trademark of Cin7 Limited. We reference Cin7 here only for factual, non-misleading comparative purposes permitted under the UK Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008.
