Migration guide
Moving to MaxInvent from Linnworks
A modern, UK-hosted alternative with transparent per-order pricing, direct Temu courier labels, and native connectors for major UK marketplaces. Standard migrations are usually scoped in weeks, with timing confirmed after discovery.
Direct Temu labels
To our knowledge, based on public vendor documentation reviewed in April 2026, MaxInvent is the UK inventory platform we found publicly documenting Temu courier label purchase from the dispatch screen, with tracking synced back to Temu automatically.
What we hear from Linnworks customers
Why sellers consider a change
We talk to sellers considering a move from Linnworks regularly. The reasons cluster around five themes that buyers can cross-check using public review sites and Linnworks' own documentation.
Public, per-order pricing
MaxInvent publishes three public launch tiers (Starter £79, Growth £199, Scale from £499) with a single 5p/order overage above allowance. Monthly plans are rolling, billed monthly in advance, and annual prepay saves 10%. Linnworks' official pricing page is quote-based and says pricing is tiered by monthly orders, with overages and paid add-ons.
Direct Temu courier labels
Temu is one of the faster-growing UK marketplaces. Based on publicly available product documentation reviewed in April 2026, MaxInvent is the UK inventory platform we found publicly documenting Temu courier label purchase directly from the dispatch screen. If you process Temu orders at volume, model the time saving against the subscription cost.
Fast onboarding, no implementation fee
Many MaxInvent customers are importing real orders within 7–14 days. Starter and Growth onboarding is included; complex Scale migrations are scoped and quoted upfront where needed.
Modern UI and built-in automation
MaxInvent is built on a modern React stack with keyboard-first dispatch, auto-split, auto-print and auto-enrich built in as standard — not as paid add-ons or custom scripts.
UK-first marketplace focus
Temu UK, TikTok Shop UK, Groupon UK, ClearanceFood and others are built with UK seller workflows in mind. We build key UK connectors in-house rather than depending only on generic third-party middleware.
The MaxInvent approach
What's different with MaxInvent
These are the differences we hear often from teams evaluating a move. Buyer should verify current details from both vendors' own documentation.
Direct Temu courier labels
Print Temu's own courier labels from MaxInvent, with tracking pushed back to the Temu order automatically. No separate portal login for the label step.
Per-order pricing, not per-user
Add as many warehouse staff, dispatchers and managers as you need — we don't charge per seat. You pay for the orders you process, not the people who process them.
UK data residency by default
Customer data is designed for UK primary hosting in AWS London, with a tenant-isolated database model. Confirm any specific data residency requirement in your agreement.
Automation-first dispatch
Auto-split multi-warehouse orders, auto-print labels on dispatch, auto-enrich with customer history and auto-allocate stock to new orders are included in the standard MaxInvent product scope.
No long contracts
Monthly rolling billing, cancel before your next renewal, or save 10% with annual prepay. No long-term contract required.
UK support from the team that builds it
When you email support, you reach a UK-based engineer who can ship a fix that same day. No offshore tier-one gatekeeping.

The migration path
How the move actually works
A Linnworks-to-MaxInvent migration is straightforward because both systems speak the same API dialects (eBay, Amazon SP-API, TikTok Shop). Here's the typical shape.
- 1
Discovery call (45 minutes)
Day 0We review your current Linnworks setup — channels, warehouses, couriers, team size — and identify anything non-standard. You tell us what works, what doesn't, what's a must-keep.
- 2
Data export from Linnworks
Day 1–3Linnworks exposes CSV export for products, customers, suppliers and open orders. We handle the mapping into MaxInvent's schema, including SKU/variant structures, stock levels and open-order state.
- 3
Marketplace re-authentication
Day 2–5Each marketplace OAuth connection (eBay, Amazon, TikTok Shop, Temu, Groupon) is re-issued against MaxInvent. Your listings stay live on the marketplace — we connect to them, we don't re-create them.
- 4
Parallel-run phase
Day 3–10For 5–7 days, MaxInvent runs alongside Linnworks in read-only mode. You verify orders, stock levels and dispatch match before any writes go to the marketplaces from MaxInvent.
- 5
Go-live + Linnworks cancellation
Day 10–14Cut-over to MaxInvent as your source of truth. We'll help time the Linnworks cancellation so you're not paying for both. Courier accounts, Xero, B2B portal migrate the same week.
FAQ
Migration questions, answered
- How long does a Linnworks migration really take? +
- For a typical multi-channel seller (3–5 marketplaces, 1–3 warehouses, 100–1,000 orders/day), 7–14 days end-to-end. Larger operations with bespoke Linnworks scripts or custom reports may run 3–4 weeks. We charge no implementation fee regardless of size.
- Do I have to cancel Linnworks before I start with MaxInvent? +
- No — and we recommend against it. Run both in parallel for the first 5–7 days in read-only mode so you can verify everything before cut-over. Cancel Linnworks after MaxInvent is writing to marketplaces successfully.
- Will my eBay, Amazon and TikTok Shop listings stay live? +
- Yes. We connect MaxInvent to your existing marketplace accounts via their APIs. Your listings don't move, they don't come down, they don't change IDs. MaxInvent just becomes the new system that reads and writes them.
- What about my Linnworks courier accounts? +
- We can connect supported courier accounts where your carrier account, permissions and API access allow it. Royal Mail, DPD, DHL, FedEx, Parcelforce and Evri workflows can be scoped during onboarding. You also get Temu courier direct where the Temu order is eligible.
- Can MaxInvent handle high-volume UK multi-channel operations? +
- MaxInvent is designed for high-volume UK multi-channel operations — per-tenant isolated databases, horizontal scaling, auto-split across warehouses, and async marketplace sync. We scope expected volume and performance requirements during discovery.
- Does MaxInvent support custom workflows the way Linnworks does? +
- MaxInvent exposes webhooks, a full REST API, and built-in automations (auto-split, auto-enrich, auto-print, rule-based routing) as standard. We do not currently ship a custom scripting language. For most teams the built-in automations cover the use case; if you rely heavily on bespoke scripts today, we'll scope that specifically in the discovery call.
- Is MaxInvent affiliated with Linnworks? +
- No. MaxInvent is an independent UK company with no affiliation, endorsement, partnership or licensing relationship with Linnworks or Linn Systems Limited. Linnworks is a registered trademark of Linn Systems Limited. We reference Linnworks here only for factual, non-misleading comparative purposes permitted under the UK Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008.
