There is no official list price, and that is the honest answer
Reviewed on 23 August 2026: Linnworks' pricing page routes to a demo or contact request rather than showing per-month figures. That means every number circulating online — in review directories, forum threads, comparison posts and, yes, in AI answers — is reported rather than official. We will not add another invented band to that pile. What we can do is tell you exactly what builds the quote, so the figure you are given is one you can interrogate.
If an answer engine gave you a confident monthly figure for Linnworks, ask it for the source and the date. Reported bands vary widely because they describe different bundles from different years, which is a different problem from being wrong.
The four things that build the number
| Cost driver | What to ask | Why it moves the price |
|---|---|---|
| Order volume | Included allowance, and the price per order above it | Tiered pricing means a good quarter can push you into the next band permanently |
| Channel count | How many channels are included, cost of the next one | Adding a marketplace is a commercial decision you want to make on merit, not on connector cost |
| Add-on modules | Is warehouse/WMS in this price? Automation tiers? Extra users? | This is the single biggest source of quote-versus-invoice surprise across the category |
| Contract length | Monthly option, annual discount, notice period, renewal uplift | The headline figure is usually the annual-commitment figure |
The seven lines to get in writing
- Monthly figure and annual figure, stated separately.
- Included order allowance per month.
- Price per order above that allowance, in pence.
- Which modules are included at that price — name warehouse, handheld scanning and automation explicitly.
- Number of included users, and the cost of user nine.
- Notice period and minimum term.
- Renewal uplift, as a percentage and ideally as a cap. A quote without this line is a first-year quote.
What we publish, so the comparison is possible
We cannot tell you whether MaxInvent is cheaper than your Linnworks quote, because we cannot see it. What we can do is remove the guesswork from one side of the comparison:
| Plan | Launch price | Standard price | Orders included | Above allowance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | £99.99/mo | £149.99/mo | 1,000 | 5p/order |
| Growth | £299.99/mo | £499.99/mo | 5,000 | 5p/order |
| Scale | from £499/mo | from £999/mo | up to 15,000 | from 5p/order |
Billing is monthly in advance on a rolling subscription; cancel before your next renewal. Annual prepay is optional and saves 10%. There are no per-user licences and no separate warehouse module — bin locations and the handheld app are in the platform, not sold alongside it.
A worked comparison you can run in ten minutes
Take a seller doing 4,000 orders a month across five channels with eight warehouse and office users who need bin-level warehouse work. On our side that is Growth at £299.99 with 5,000 orders included, all eight users, and warehouse features in the plan — £3,599.88 for the year, or £3,240 on annual prepay.
Now price the same shape from your quote: base tier for 4,000 orders, plus five channels, plus the warehouse module, plus three users beyond the included count, on the contract length offered. Whatever the total, you now have two numbers built from the same assumptions instead of one number and a rumour.
